A pair 18th century glazed earthenware lidded vases in cobalt blue on a white ground. Each of the eight sides decorated with chinoiserie scenes within a cartouche; an exotic bird seated on a branch with flowers alternating with a figure seated on a bridge with another figure rowing a boat below and a bird overhead. The base and the neck of the vases gadrooned. The lids with flower decoration and lion finials.
Signed on the base most likely De Porceleyne Claeuw Established in 1658 closed in 1840.
