19th CENTURY PERIOD GILT BRONZE AND TOLE CARCEL LAMP CONVERTED TO A TABLE LAMP
Mid 19th century carcel lamp converted to electricity. With a central painted column which imitates Trajan's column with Roman scenes in relief which spiral continuously down and sit on a plinth decorated with a laurel wreath emblazoned with a sword and further scenes after the antique in relief.
France, second quarter of the 19th century.
